  129. Loretta Sachsel says:

    Erica,
“Hush, I’m Reading” is photo that portrays a love for books. I live in a very commercial suburban community where stores such as WalMart and Target rule the roost. Sadly, our only bookstore, Border’s, is in the process of liquidation. Border’s was a favorite destination during the cold days of Winter and the steamy days of Summer for my family and me. We would go there to shop and stock up on books to fill our minds and hearts, passing of favorites to each other for “family book discussions”. My children learned to enjoy reading because browsing and selecting from among the thousands of books offered was an event that celebrated their independence and individual tastes. It is true that one can do the same in a local library, but being able to browse a book at one’s leisure and keep your favorites near to share and reread is better. Our books are the most treasured contents of our home next to our family photos. Your picture says it all in one frame! It is a very beautiful captured moment!
    ❤ Loretta
